Get yourself down to WH Smiths or online to Amazon and order a copy of
The Sea Anglers Guide to TOP MARKS - ISBN reference 0-9533087-9-0

Quote (from the book)

dover southern breakwater (Kent)

Best BaitsYellowtail Lug, Peeler Crab are top winter bait for cod, while king rag and harbour rag are good for pollack and flouder in summer.

Fresh mackeral, herring or cuttlefish ill catch dogfish, bread for mullet and feather for mackeral

Best rigs
Strong tides mean you should use grippa leads on a two-up, one down with longish snoods. size 1 hooks are good, but 3/0 for winter cod and summer bass.

Its a bloody good book, excellent for a reference manual - worth the £8.99 big grin

Yep, really good book. Now, if I could find my copy, I might stand a chance of finding a decent mark!

Another good one is Where to Sea Fish in Britain and Ireland.
