Arrived approximately 2.30pm (low water ish) weather front hanging over head but only a gentle westerly blow and a very nice lumpy sea, spoke to a nice couple of Old Guy's who had been fishing all day with only a couple of Yting and Dabs between them both. Set up camp and started to fish from 3.00pm, bait was Rag/Squid on One rod (pennel rig) and Lug/Squid or fish strips on the second rod (2 hook flattie rig).
Both rigs were using 150g grapnels with lead lifts!
Having to cast 100+yrds.
The Rain started around 4pm (i'am thinking "what am i doing here" NOT "wish you were here" knowing that the rain will be persistent until late)!
NO fish beached until around 6pm then a steady run of nice plump Yting around the 1lb+ mark all evening on both rods Until God shone down on me with the show on the flattie rig of an undersized Codlett of roughly a 1lb (the only one) Well chuffed!
In total i ended up with 14 Yting and 1 Codlett, all in very good condition and returned!
It was nice again to see some good bites!
Yes the WEED was there and would have been a problem but i was on a 10-15 minute retrieve so didn't cause me to much of a problem!!
No lost tackle!
HT was around 10pm finished fishing 11.30pm then a Kebab on the way home
Overall an enjoyable Night session!
