hi all, fished walmer today to try out my new beach buddy, and i must say i was well impressed with it, kept me nice and cosy lol
arrived at about 10 and fished till 4 in the afternoon.
high water was about 1.15.
used lug, squid, mackeral and herring. used a one up, one down for the small stuff and a long flowing trace baited big in case a codling wanted to show its face.
alas, no codling but plenty of whiting, out of about 50 i caught i only kept 10, they were not exactly big.
i also had 3 dabs which was a welcome change from the whiting and also a rockling. all the dabs taken on lug tipped with herring.
no codling but a fun day anyway and peaceful, no kids, all left at home lol |
