Just a quick update on the venue.
Plenty of whiting coming up at the moment and of a decent size.
If you fish this venue then leave your beachcaster at home and use something like a 9 to 10 ft rod due to the railings at the back of you. An uptider would be ideal or failing the a pier rod.
On a good tide distance is unimportant as fish can be caught right up to the towpath.

Yep my mate, but only as far as medium sized whiting very little else. Not really cold enough for the cod although the odd small one has been caught. I put it down to the mild weather that we have been having.
