Hi all
I am in search for a new beachcaster
I am after 13 to 14ft beachcaster that can handle casting 8 oz weight with bait
Sonik sk4 was going to be the rod if choice but it recommends 5 to 7oz
The rod will spend most of its life at Dungeness beach
What's every ones thoughts
Cheers

Hi Ant mate, why use 8oz? There is a cheaper alternative if it's grip that you want.
Gemini manufacture plastic inserts that screw on between the weight and the gripper nosecone in 2 sizes.
Cheers

Yep they do mate, You can also get the long nose cone fixed wires for the gemini weights and also insert the plastic insert so as to give it even more grip.
Unfortunately I don't have a pic of them but will do one if needed.
Cheers
