I fished about 2 hours either side of high tide, to the right of the car park.

The beach was quite popular with at least 9 other anglers in my immediate vicinity, so if you want a particular spot, get there early.

Incredibly, crabs were still a real nuisance, often being landed two at a time when checking my baits. There was a small amount of mainly red weed about, but not so much as to cause any real problems.

I didn't have any touble with snags either.

I fished with lugworm, squid and herring in various combinations, on two-hook rigs.

Short casts produced more bites than long ones.

The result was 6 Dabs and 1 Whiting; oh yes, and a starfish!

Two of the Dabs and the Whiting were just about on the minimum size limit but were thin. All were returned.
