I have 3 Okuma 30s that I use for boat, pier and shore fishing. The only problem I found with them were those with level wind tended to fail. all those without level wind are still as good as new,
Cheers

I bought a pair of the 30's because I felt the 20's were a bit small for my clumsy hands. I went for the ones without the level-wind as this allows me to place the leader knot off to one side of the spool much more easily, and anyway I'm happier laying the line myself. They're nice reels to use and quite docile. Admittedly I'm not a huge caster but they seem to handle anything I do without any problems. I like them. |
