A mate and myself are going out on the 17th This month. We are either gonna head up to Colwyn Bay (or close to there anyway), Down to Cardiff (same, somewhere there) or over to Trefor. MIGHT even shoot over the other way and hit Grimsby or surrounding.
My questions are...
Where would be best place to head? North or South Wales?
Is the East coast fishing ok? Never been there so NO ideas where to point the car.
Only ever fished Trefor before so anywhere will be ok. Well, did Clarach Bay but blanked.
We just want somewhere we have a decent chance of catching, pref off a pier but not essential.
Cheers folks.

Hi mate. I am from Cardiff, and by far the best place to fish there is off the pier at Penarth. It is about half a mile east of Cardiff Bay, and is a good all round spot. Only down side is it is shut at 5.30pm. It has a bait shop that supplies sandeel. mackerel and rag, toilets and a cafe!!
Other than that, the barrage is good on Cardiff Bay. There is a small beach next to the beach there, where i caught my very first ballan wrasse!!! |

Ta mate.
It looks like a choice of either down your way or Trefor Pier then. I'll see which my mate prefers to do, then if we blank it'll be his fault. |
