There is a friendly match on 28th April at Chesil. Hampshire Hookers against the Dorset Angling Brigade. (Being a Club Tart, I am a member of both clubs but as we shall be fishing in Dorset I shall be fishing for DAB against HH.
Both clubs have free membership and if you type in either to Google you will go to their websites.
Neither are serious about fiahing, just having a laugh and catch and release for a small prize. Entry fee is about £3.00.
At that time of year two or 3 hook flappers with sequins and beads work well for Plaice. |

Hi
Try the boats end of april is good for plaice on the Shambles bank.
Try Colin Penny on Flamer he is good (on 07968 972736) or Ivan Wellington on Top Cat (on 07966 133979) if you do go let them know I recommended.
You will need a fairly light boat rod 12-20lb is ideal. trace is normally a long flowing with lots of beads and blades size 1 hooks baited with rag tipped with squid strip.
You can also higher tackle from them

If you want to fish from the shore the Osmington end of the beach may produce some rays then. |

wrasse fishing is very productive from Portland, can fish from the bill eastwards from the rocky ledges |
