well i made the trip down hoping for coddies.arrived about 5pm to be greeted with calm clear sea and bright sunshine .ideal cod conditions,not.hw was around 10pm,set two rods out with hermits and lug/squid.had a light rod with bubble float with squid tenticle.had two decent garfish.finished the session around 1.30amend result no codling but numerious amounts of whiting ,average around 1lb,pout,poor cod,dogfish.enjoyable nite with good company .beach was like beach buddy land.

they have been down there early part of the week ,but with the settled weather and clear sea they aint in close.it was a dogfish a cast at the other end of abboutsbury ,to the left.to the right very quite for a decent fish.roll on nxt month.
going to try for a sole at clarence thurs eve if you r interested mate.
