What a day! Had a fish a chuck. Lost count of the number of codling and whiting. The majority were under size, but kept a 2lb codling which came to two scraggy bits of lug on a scratching rig.
Sun shone all day. Had bites and fish on prawn and squid, as well as lug.
Best day session I've had in living memory. Fished by the club hut on the ebb.

Excellent. Sounds like a great day.
It would seem that the run of Spring coddling is showing up all over the place.
Best 'strike while the iron is hot' and get out fishing as much as you can in the next few weeks, as there is no way of telling how long it will last.
