I have to agree with the comments on Diawa Tournament - I've never had any problems with it. I've also used Veals own brand "Varivas Sport" which is very good for the price. For spinning I use 8lb Stren, which really takes the wear and tear well but is quite expensive (£20 for three 1000m spools) but as spinning requires the lighter line strengths you can't afford to use an unreliable line.

I use Sufix Tritaniun in red. It is definately smoother than the white. I got some 14lb"Original" Stren from Veals and was disappointed. On my first session I completely destroyed it. I had bought 3 spools of the stuff and was lucky if I got 3 sessions out of a reel full. I've still got some 50lb original Stren which I got from Canada 10 years ago and the two lines are nothing like each other. I've kept the line in dark conditions and it's as good now as it's ever been. If anyone is wondering how I've still got this line, I bought 2500 yards of it (half the price in Canada). Also for the record, I didn't go, I just know someone who lives there.

A guy I know and who is a very well known match angler uses Daiwa Sensor and he has no complaints with it.
