I have just finished re whipping the above rod, it is 12ft 8oz casting weight. Construction is fiberglass and must be 40yr old. Anyone got any info on it as regards quality, price and age?
Cheers

No answer? The rod must be older than I thought.

sorry can't help. Looks nice, I have just done the same to my fathers rod. I have been able to identify it as a modern arms reverse taper, this might account for how floppy it feels.

Thanks Steve mate, I notice you didn't comment on my tip spraying as most of the rods were completely black or had a white tip originally
Cheers

Hi Keith,............Nice job !!!!!!!!!, Iv'e got /had a Sundridge 'Uptider' rod for about 25 years used it 'umpteen times off of boats, piers ect ....very sturdy and reliable and surprisingly sensative on the tip bite wise, not able to get much in the way of sea fishing rods made by them these days dont know why????? their stuff was always 'top drawer'...............anyway as I said nice job.
Cheers JOLI |

Hi Joli mate. I think but not sure that Sunridge discontinued the rod making side of the business some years ago and now concentrate on outdoor clothing and tents etc.
