Where were you fishing Booboo?-Sounds like you had a better session than me.

I was at the post (towards Brightlingsea from St Osyth) from 1pm till 6pm. caught nowt apart from 2 small whiting, loads of crabs and had serious problems with heavy weed pulling the rods down. I saw three blokes in the first set of groynes on my way back but they'd caught nowt apart from two small codling when I spoke to them.

Well done booboo, sounds like a good day to me.

stuartdv, the weed was probably from Brightlingsea - the flippin rivers full of the stuff at the moment!

Blakdog- all that weed coming out the river seemed to congregate on my line- I think generally the post fishes better but on this occasion I wished I'd fished the groynes but by the time I'd walked all the way back I was too idle to set up again.

It's a bit of a hike isn't it?

Are you sure you don't just go up there so you can fish in the altogether?
