So yesterday I hired a boat and took out my brother in law into Chichester Harbour for the day. He is a river / reservoir angler. He struggled a bit casting clousers, but managed to get enough distance. There was a reasonably strong north easterly blowing which did not bode good, however we had a good day. In total we caught about 30 bass between us and a couple of mackeral. All taken on chartruese and white clousers in relatively shallow water. Once we drifted into slightly deeper water the bites dried up, even when using a heavy sinking line. So the fish are definitely here.
Also if anyone else fancies sharing the cost of a boat let me know, weekdays best as the harbour gets busy at weekends.

Good to hear the fish have arrived over there, well done Scierra.

Shallow water is definitely where it's at, the shallower the better. winking

Well done Tommo. Sounds like we have all caught fish now, except for a certain inhabitant of Pompey who has been blanking since the middle of last season devil
