Went with my friend today on the pier. We arrived at 10am we decided to fish the east point as it was the only space left. Set up with my new uptide rod. Fish from the off, didnt stop all day. Blazing sunshine, burnt to a crisp but well worth it.

Brilliant day all round.

Bait used was Rag, Lug, Squid, Mackrel.

Caught Bass, 35 cm (went back) Doggie 45 cm (never ever seen a doggie off the pier was caught on a size 1 hook) Rockling, whiting, pout, plaice, flounder. All was caught on lug except whiting which was rag.

The best day I have had off the pier ever....

As soon as I figure out how to get pictures off my phone and onto laptop, I will post pics...

We had to wait untill the tide started to turn for the doggie bite. But I agree, never had a better day. Looks good for this season!
