Arrived at Salthouse around 09.30 p.m on the 28th after collecting my 100 Norfolk lug from Toni at Holt 07879086931, met with a bitterly cold and blowy N/N.Easterly Wind and continued to blow right through until i left at 1.00pm on the 29th. I was the only NUTTER on the beach and started to fish just to the right of the car park from about 10pm (High Water around 02.00am) with only one rod, (other in the doctors) with a 2 hook flapper rig using a Gemini 150g grapnel which held bottom with ease. Not a Bite until an hour before High tide, then 4 nice pin Whitting (one after another) then the action stopped until an hour after high tide when 2 undersized Dabs came in together, from then on until leaving (12.30 - 1.00pm) another 4 undersized Dabs were landed. A run of Red weed was persistent all day!
The Day ended with 4 nice pin Whitting and 6 undersized Dabs (Green ones) all returned back. 2 hook flapper rig catching 100% of the catch and all caught on fresh blow lug!
Casting distance was on average 50/60 yards. No lost gear!

An Eventful day's fishing with the Cold firmly set into my body and a Massive Cold caught!!
An overall rating of ** 2 stars out of 5
