Arrived around 09.00 a.m. after collecting my Excellent Norfolk lug from Toni at Holt 07879086931, a very blowy S/S Westerly right up until i left at 8.30pm. Started to fish on low water with two rods, 1 with a 2 hook flattie rig and the other with a clip down wishbone rig, both Gemini 130g grapnels which held bottom with ease. Fish came from the off, they started coming from the first cast, a nice sized Whitting (for fish fingers) 2nd cast produced a couple of good sized Dabs, the low waters fished better for sizable fish with the flood producing undersized catches and the run of weed and a persistent seal active all day!
The Day ended with 1 nice Whitting (kept), 8 pin Whitting, 16 Dabs (2 kept) all the rest put back. Some Dabs green ones, some spotted ones.
Flattie Rig catching 90% of the catch with the Wishbone rig taking the "Michael". All caught on fresh blow lug!
Casting distance was only 50/60 yards with the strong winds causing lines to be blown (difficult bit indications). No lost gear!

An Excellent day's fishing with boredom set in catching to many undersized fish!
An Excellent Match fishing venue!! ***** 5 stars :wiggle:
