Went out yesterday at Fleetwood on my small open Seastar fitted with 5hp engine. We only went as far a number 11 buoy and was fishing in about 12 ft of water.

Whiting were behaving like flaming mackerel (suicidal). We kept about a dozen in the 2lb mark.

Although the flounder and dabs were about these seemed to be undernurished and small so all were returned. The total fish caught was well in excess of 80 between the 2 of us (Littlerabbi) so it looks like the fish are there but are staying out of range of the beachcasting fraternity.

Bait was Lugworm and mackerel both baits seemed to do equally well. After about 3hrs we had had enough and returned home knackered.

All in all a good day
Cheers
