hi i have been a member on here for about a year and thought it was about time i made my first post.
i have found this site a good source of info from being a sea fishing novice.
i fished paul car park on 29th of dec, got there just befor 10 am. there were six or seven already fishing when i arrived. set up in the middle of the car park and use the wooden barryer where there have been notched out to rest my two rods.conditions were realy foggy and couldn't see more than 100yards out. river was flat calm and like a mill pond.
on one rod i fished a two hook flapper rig using frozen black lug tiped with squid and on the other rod was useing a pennel pully rig which i had on strips of bluey. was realy slow to start off with not even a knock, had quite a bit of weed coming back on the line. had my first fish around 1pm, never saw the bite because of the weed on the line. it was a flatty just under half a pound. this was on the bottom hook of the flapper rig, second fish was half an hour later on the bluey stip, a nice flatty of around a pound. both fish went back ok. that was it for the rest of the day, had a couple of knocks but no more fish. left at around 4.30. no one else there had and any luck and called it a day before i left, no signs of whiting or codling showing maybe next time, all in all i had an enjoyable days fisning
