just fished preston beach next to oasis cafe as an alternative to chesil,given the weather today.
landed two wrasse and lost one set of gear
lovely sunny day so no need for shelter,bacon sarnies and full flask of coffee,all in all a good outing
regards and tight lines etc

wrasse and lost gear..... you found the reef then !

for those that don't know the area, there is a reef close inshore that runs back eastwards along the cove, you can see it in the third photograph here

yep i found it thought i was far enough along but after landing the first wrasse i knew i wasnt,however couldnt be bothered to up sticks,will fish near sealife next time.

parking is a bit of a b***** at the Sealife end and we have never done as good for fish that end.... make sure you are past the last building on the other side of the road and you are clear of the reef.

Have fished Bowleaze end of beach and have caught young small-eyed ray to sandeel fillets.
