Me and a mate went down to southfalls (canvey) this evening
1 rod each 2 hooks rag/lug/mak
picked out 5 codling, 2 whiting, 1 rockling & 1 schoolie
only the rockling was sizeable (hold the chips lads)
50/60yds, 3hrs up, quiet over the top, slow hour on the ebb.
Then we remembered that we've got homes to go to
Night all.....

To be honest we did not expect that sort of action on the night, so the bait ran out sooner than expected. I could have stayed all night, plus it was a school night and I aint so good at getting out of bed and my headlamp battery ran out and my feet got cold and I was running low on fag papers and it was a thursday. Now I'm out of excuses  "I DON'T KNOW"

limey my friend age has never bothered me, as long as your clean and pretty  .
seriously tho I'am looking at saturday night as a possible?
I might take a look at another mark that has been known to chuck up some better quality fish, I need to do a bit of research to see if I can get reasonable access to the mark as I dont like hiking.
failing that I will probably hit the southfalls area again, I know that there will be something to keep my hands out of my pockets.
Be in touch soon....

The Octane jetty is fishing well at the moment, send me a PM if you want details of how to get to it.

Dear youngrod
sorry to here about your cold mate, hope you clear it soon.
I think that with the southfalls mark at the end of your road, you have a good chance of catching fish, as there is always something there.
any venue can have its off days, but thats where a change of tactics can save the day. I'm not gonna try and tell you how to suck eggs, but if you would like some clues which might help, then I would gladly assist as would any other fisherman if you ask.(except under match conditions ofcourse)
Post a "How To" on this forum as there are many acomplished anglers with a wealth of knowledge just waiting for a bite.
Get well soon & get fishing!!!!
Kind regards
OneCodBob.
