took the boy fishing while on holiday in devon.. it was his 1st time beach fishing and he had a bass and flounder at sidmouth and then i took him to to exmouth harbour to fish the estuary... we had pollock on feathers, wrasse from the rocks and 2 species which im not sure what they are, i guessed they might be blennys or gobys but am not sure, any help would be welcomed...
all fish in picture no.3 were kept in a large bucket for 30mins and returned safely... jay |

Hi, The first two look like Blennys, the third looks like wrasse(hard to see),fourth looks to be a small bass, and the last one is a flatfish of some kind, again, hard to tell from a small picture.
I'm probably wrong on all counts

Small pic, so a little hard to see. Probably a common blenny. Also heard of it being called a sticky finger fish as they will attach themselves (by biting) to your finger (doesn't really hurt). |

Myself and my nephew mark caught one of those in Pic1 last tuesday at Bridlington. A guy said it was a rockling which i knew was wrong, I said it was a tosspot blenny, so i agree with everyone else. |
