Decided on a change of venue last night , so moved 6 feet down on the quay big grin big grin arrived at 6pm to meet steve 1976 with lots of lovely big fresh worms he had just dug , cheers mate winking weather was lovely with no wind , so the sole rigs went on , on one rod and 2 hook clip down on the other , bites were thick and fast from the off in daylight , then as darkness fell they dried up , first fish came to the sole rig , weighing in at 1 lb on the nose ........

things were really quiet , when i went up to see what all the comotion was at the top , and fair play to the fella ,faithless nipper landed a cracking 6 lb codling first ive ever seen off there and a cracking example for his first trip out lol , as things calmed down sat back with a coffee , my rod took off and struck into a dead weight resulting in this , all 3lb 5 ozs of it lol .........................

first of the year for me , a few knocks from the bass but nothing conclusive untill daybreak , when another rod bending hit resulted in this bass wannabe all of 2 1/2 lb .................
