When after flatfish, and sometimes when pier or jetty fishing, plastic booms in place of the hook length swivels improve the catch rate and eliminate tangles.
Booms such as the Avis and Drennan are the ones to judge others by. These have a barrel shaped body with a hole through the centre which takes the rig body line. These are trapped in to place with the beads and crimps etc, as before. |

You don't realise what a good post this was mate. I have been tring on and off for ages to work out a good way of putting down a two hook rig with the same characteristics as a running ledger which DOES NOT TANGLE (much). I think your post may have finally lead me there but have to get some and work it out on paper. Hoping to try for some sole/dabs in the not too distant future.
