I met Andy Mad on the beach 12 months ago when i was a begginer, and since then he has been taking my calls weekly and helping me with all fishing questions and tips. I told Andy so time ago i wanted a Thorn back and he coached and put me on the fish until i landed my first couple. Well i have been asking Andy to help me with the bass as it was next on my list, and boy did he deliver he talked me through the rigs and bait i needed to prepare an then took out for a spot of night bassing.

We set up at 12am cast out (60 - 80 yrds) and within an hour Andy had his first one, it wasnt long before he got me into one!! and i landed my first non schoolie. 1am -3.30 am nothing was doing so Andy said we should move to another mark he knows and he was right!! he landed another staight away shortly followed by my second and on it went fight after fight.

We lost some too but ended on 10 between us my i took mine home to weigh, and the biggest 2 were 6lb and 8lb 12oz

Fantastic !!!
Looks like you had a great session. Was it on the island where you were fishing?

I blanked at Deal last night - should have stayed local. Hope to see you on the beach sometime.

Well done on the bass.

And Andy sounds like a man to know and listen to.

Clive your welcome

Was glad to put you on the fish, you need to pick the tides wind direction to know where the fish are and youll be in with a chance all this comes with experence.Dont be afraid to try something different and dont be dissapointed with your results one day.1 bait might edge another youll pick more up with experiance.
We had a few fish, but i put a lot more back than i take. What else can i say you have improved alot over the year.

Well done on your pb bass (you can claim a badge) and watch that rod

ROLL ON THE COD

Hi Colin and Glen, Thanks mate we fished Leysdown (green car park) at first then moved to warden bay just down by the car park. And we used fresh peeler crab and squid, but 90% including the biggen fell to peeler.
