went out this eve to have mess about with the fly rod fished ages with no action changed to a gold head blood worm what i originaly tied for trout and let it dead drift in the current then whack something big took it but i lost it after 2 mins so tried again and right on cue the rod double over again stripped out a good 40 yds of backing but managed to land this 1 and it turned out to be a nice mullet of 5 lb so i broke my swffing duck with a pb mullet my biggest before today was 2.5 lb so a blindin result and hell of a fight on a 5/6 # rod

Nice fish to kick off with Pete. My first Mullet came the same way, Flexifloss bloodworm on a dead drift but it only weighed 4lb, so well done to you. I'm afraid you have ruined yourself now, as Bass will be a bit of a let down compared to the ghosties.
PS- The high from catching a Mullet usually lasts about a week and is highly addictive.
