In the sea may help?
Turbot showing everywhere basically. All small but in decent numbers around the south wales coast by the seems of it. Or at least they were..
Plaice i'm not so sure about. Why don't you go and just get out and have some fresh air? I wouldn't know the turbot were about if it wasn't for me and a friend going out and trying. You've got to be in it to win it mac |

I think I had a plaice from Pendine last week, at max range in a choppy beach dump sea at low tide.
I thought it was a flounder but the chap next to me assured me it was a plaice, and a nice one around 2lb at that.
The biggest suprise for me was it took fresh razor intended for a bass on a pennel pulley.
Worm better there though, decent beach, best fished low water up. very shallow, wade to knees, lob out 40 yards, tide comes up quick so let that bring fish to you.
Also, dont get bogged down with too much kit, a small bucket on rest with 1 rod is best and expect to be in water a lot. |
