I don't bother trying now. I only go to church for weddings, funerals and the inevitable Browny and Guide events. Singing's out anyway, you get over 100 people in the church and other than the vicar there's about 4 people singing and I ain't one of them.
Bet you didn't know that I was in the Brownies

So it was you fishing at The Tower in the brown dress and thigh waders was it? Always wondered who that was.

On the subject of funerals (or was it singing) one of the pall-bearers fell completely down the hole at my sister-in-laws funeral. The resultant horrified silence from the 60 or so mourners was broken about ten seconds later by a very loud "Silly Arse" from my mother-in-law and everybody was in fits as the other bearers tried to get the bloke out of the hole without dropping the coffin on him - the sister-in-law had a wicked sense of humour and would have loved it!
