hello
going to fish the isle of man ramsey week in may any good tips for me as its the first big comp iv fished and dont want to look a complete TOOL on the beach.
had some good ones from some people just wanted to no wat you all thought.

small hooks catch big and small fish
big hooks normally only catch big fish |

So use small hooks and catch everything.

Duff advice for this particular match - you'll be fishing for dogfish so you want reasonable size hooks - white ragworm if you can get it and sandeels- and make sure you can cast straight |

Nope I'm not saying that at all Rabbi because nobody actually mentioned specific size of hooks other than to say use small hooks-
who mentioned 2/0's? I cant see that size mentionaed anywhere apart fromyour reply to my post.
it depends on what your definition of small hooks are- what I would say to you is that 2/0's are generally considered to be big hooks by shore match anglers. 2/0's would be fine for targetting doggies- personally I'd use size 1 Kamasans for doggies. |
