Well, they are actually my old marks only some of them are no longer there. Went for a run along the shore at low tide this afternoon from Lee along to Chilling to check the lie of the land. The winter storms have removed many of the gravel banks which proved good Mullet holding areas last season but have created new ones at the same time, so perhaps things will even themselves out. The large spit, popular with guys fishing for Smooth Hound, near the toilets at Hill Head seems to have gone completely. Guess fishing is like life in general, nothing ever stays the same.

Hi Col
The topography around the river mouth at HH has really changed, the river has split into 2 channels and the right hand one looking out to sea is quite deep and fast flowing, so be carefull, it nearly had me suprise
Cheers Dave

Yep, I noticed that Dave. It was a 0.4m tide at low so I got well out for a good look. Not sure how the river ended up doing that but it was certainly flowing with some force after the recent heavy rain. Biggest change though was to the big spit half way along the sea wall, almost completely gone. As Mick says, lots of new places to explore.
