Hi there,
I am new on here and am looking for some advice on where is best to fish on the West coast?
I have done all my fishing in the past on Lochs for trout but have decided to give sea fishing a bash in the hope of landing some bigger specimens.
Also if there is anyone in the west coast area who is looking for someone to go fishing with I'd be more than intrested.
Would be good to learn from someone etc. |

I would try Loch Etive its a salt water loch 6 miles from Oban -with a variety of species Spurries ,thornback rays , ect all good sport and it is in a great setting -loads of places to fish from the shore -but you can also take a boat from Dougie for the day -safe fishing Steve |

We were up at Loch Etive yesterday, lots of boats out and wonderfull scenery graet weather cold but fresh and sunny most of the day, even caught some fish!
most said it was worst day on the loch for some time as far as fish was concerned but most of the 50 or so guys caught at least one fish
cheers

Went for a run to Inverary today.
I did a couple of hours fishing (my first saltwater expedition) and caught a nice 3lb codling and some flatties.
Nice to christen the tackle and hoping for more and better things next time out!! |
