Hi flukey

Hythe? Hants or Kent? Fished Hants Hythe ten days ago, flounders and undersize bass for six hours in daylight over high water. Rag and any tipping you care, distance immaterial to results. MK

Don't worry if there's a match on - the alternative venue with the same fishing is immediately south of the military base at Hythe, where the ladning craft are moored. Go through the Hythe village, hug the coast, pass the old Dreamland factory then the base. Find the gravel carpark, next to a bridge we never notice unless looking for it, park there and walk 50 yards further south, you'll see a footpath which leads across the marsh to a shingle embankment, safe to fish over high water except the highest tides. Room for at least a dozen anglers, sheltered against strong westerly winds. Wear wellies. MK
