Fished this morning at K G D. arrived there arround 7am, only 1 other guy fishing. wearher was cold, grey, damp and very misty/foggy.
Set up first rod with 3 hook flapper, baited with worms and squid. and before i had chance to set 2nd rod up , could see first one going mad,, reeled in and wow, just caked thick in red weed, could'nt even see where hooks and lead was,,, after unpicking it all, did get second rod out, 2 hook flapper , just baited with worms. and for the next 2 hrs or so, thats all i was getting.
Almost thought of packing up, but decided to stick it out and see what happens. Did clear up the weed, and about 11am had my 1 and only fish, a flattie.
That misty /foggy at times, did'nt know how far i casting out. then the dreaded weed came back, as tide going out,so packed up arround 1.30pm.
Nice to be out again, but seems river is devoid of fish, 5 trips, nearly 30 hrs fishing and only 1 fish.
