Hi all its coming to that time of year when me and frozentoes are on tour.

Ilfracombe beckons for two weeks Yippeeeeeeeeeee

The first week will be spent running round after my grandson Crabbing teaching him fishing with a Rod (he is only 2 3/4 but has been reeeling in a rubber lure quite happily in the back garden) and of course rock pooling with his bucket and net lol.

When his mummy and daddy come down the second week then the charter boat will beckon for a days trip and behind the pub and theatre and of course the rocks and pier.

10 weeks and counting down ha ha devil devil

Any advice on what to expect i can catch would be gratefully recieved and i want to beat my PB of 15lb conger off the boat .

I love Ilfracombe and the surrounding area.

It has everything the pier beaches rock marks,

All challenging and enjoyable with the beauty of the coast thrown in.

Think its gonna be the ideal place to teach my grandson the joys of being around the rock pools and crabbing and fishing.

Then the second week will be fishing more as his mum and dad willl take over the duties so me and frozentoes can enjoy the fishing and eating lol

Last time i think i had a different flavour pasty every day ha ha.

Will be interesting to see if the mackie show up for me as i would love to cook a nice fresh mackie on the Barbie for dinner LOL

Cabrat.
Last weekend i was in the thame estuary forum boat comp.
The fishing was so hard
please feel free to check the reports on the sticky on the forum.

Two weeks today and i'll be there teaching the worms to swim lol

Does north Devon around Ilfracombe have a good "Spring Cod Run" as I'm out on a boat on the Thames Estuary hoping to get the Coddies on their spring run.

Just trying to get some info on the possible species i could target the two weeks I'm down there.
