I went out yesterday with a mate so he could try out his new rod (Shimano Catana rough ground). Thought we'd try tor bay because of the winds but we were wrong. LOL. It was whipping around inside the bay and in some places you could see the sand swirling as if it wanted to start a tornado. Needless to say conditions were grim.. blizzard/sandstorm. The roads were fine coming back home though.

Nothing caught. Even at my maximum distance (which included some 50mph~ gust assisted casting big grin). I am however a little jealous of the new rod he's bought. Previously he had a 1-5oz rod which shows a bite from ANYTHING. It would have been funny to see the floppy rhubarb on a day like that tougue but fair dos, the catana made my rod look like a rhubarb in those conditions.

I hope the cold snap goes away and the winds change soon so everyone can get out without having to brave the weather like idiots Wave
