Went out to an East Lothian beach yesterday and caught a turbot. All three ounces of it. Still its my first from the shore and I've got my xmas pressie of a day out on the boat at Etive to come.

Hi Steve,
The mrs is treating me to a couple of night in an Oban hotel and a day out on etive. not certain of the dates yet but some time in January. There are apparently some big spurs getting caught recently. Of course with Etive being huge finding them can be a problem. I just hope I can catch sometng that will beat my recent average of 4oz.
Might be up your way during the week if the easterlies come.
