went to deal pier last night about 6ish with 2 good mates took local lug crab and squid fishing was really slow all night with a few whiting poults and a doggie got to about 1 30am caught a nice size poult me and the lads were sitting about chatting about how slow it was and i got a tiny knock on me rod so pisked it up and the line kept going slack and as i am new to fishing about a year thought it was the wind kept reeling in then felt a big knock got closer realized it was a cod called me m8 over just managed to get it in the net and haul it up my biggest fish ever a 10lb cod lovely seeing as my pb is only a 3lb bass so as you can all imagine i am well happy big grin big grin big grin big grin big grin big grin big grin big grin pics to follow shortly as soon as i work out how to upload them any ideas on how to upload pics please ppl thank you as i am a bit slow lol.

Well Done on the Cod... Cracking looking fish. I've only just started fishing again after 25 years since I used to go with my Dad in School holidays (He lives on the Isle of Wight) and I'd love to catch a fish like that. You must be well chuffed.

Sounds like a cracking session there and one that will be hard to beat especially with the coddies.

excellent coddie,you done really well! considering the wind directions.NObody seem to get into the coddies last night.I spoke to some lads today.Some had done dungi,dabs whits.Hythe was loads whits and sandwich the same.I take my hat off to you...........cool. happy

Well done fab catch. I fished Deal pier in September ,lost loads of terminal tackle! I heard they have dragged the bottom around the pier ? can anyone confirm that ? [/b]
