went to deal pier last night about 6ish with 2 good mates took local lug crab and squid fishing was really slow all night with a few whiting poults and a doggie got to about 1 30am caught a nice size poult me and the lads were sitting about chatting about how slow it was and i got a tiny knock on me rod so pisked it up and the line kept going slack and as i am new to fishing about a year thought it was the wind kept reeling in then felt a big knock got closer realized it was a cod called me m8 over just managed to get it in the net and haul it up my biggest fish ever a 10lb cod lovely seeing as my pb is only a 3lb bass so as you can all imagine i am well happy pics to follow shortly as soon as i work out how to upload them any ideas on how to upload pics please ppl thank you as i am a bit slow lol.

Well Done on the Cod... Cracking looking fish. I've only just started fishing again after 25 years since I used to go with my Dad in School holidays (He lives on the Isle of Wight) and I'd love to catch a fish like that. You must be well chuffed. |

Sounds like a cracking session there and one that will be hard to beat especially with the coddies.
Look forward to the photos, very well done
