Dont hold your breathe for a start!

You are more likely to entice a conger than a Bass....however....

hook whiting through lip, pass line down back to a second hook (Pennel rig), and incorprate that into a pulley rig would be the best way to present it. Tie the hooks flush to body with elastic cotton OR a Pike dead bait treble set. Problem there is, that is likely to be barbless these days.

Bass DO feed in shallows on Whiting, it just depends if Mr Bass is still swimming near where you are.

Great advice from jim , however far better live baited and lip hooked as jim said dont hold your breath its a long game played by masters winking

were still getting the odd sizeable bass here in suffolk, but you might be better of live/dead baiting a whiting for cod callum.

best of luck whatever you try mate, experiment is the key to success winking
