hey fellas, just a quick post, where is the best place in swansea bay to catch whiting during the autumn months?

been catching them all summer on the west pier and knab rock nothing else exept doggies being caught |

cheers mate, im busy, really busy up until november and i just want some easy accesible marks. where to could i get into some "keeper" whiting in swansea? |

ive had some crackers from cold knap beach and friars point in barry that not to far from u also had my P.B cod from the shore at friars point 18Lbs and loadsa dabs /flounders in the old harbour tight lines  |

ive had some lovely size keepers from both the knab and west pier last year hopefully ill get the same this year, id like to try any other marks as you tend to get bored of going to the same marks and meeting same numptys that keep crosslineing you any suggestions would be usefull |

thats exactly how i feel mate, i usually fish the west pier but im bored now lol. i was thinking of giving the area infront of county hall a bash...any recommendations???? |

I always tend to find the Whiting are usually around at Oxwich too.
Always good for a change of scenery, and if you go further up towards the point as the High tide approaches, you can get them up to around a pound or so.
Just need to be pretty fit, as the walk is a killer. |

i fished west pier monday had 40+ whiting and pouting 1 keeper whiting, used 1 small pout live caught a 1lb5oz bass bargin catching whiting and pout on king rag with size 1 hooks used a 3 hook flapper catcing them sometimes 3 at a time about 1 metre out from pier river side keeped my entertained for a few hours |
