we are planning a trip down to the channel but would like some imfo on where to go and baits to take, Just looked at multimap on Layde Bay and can you fish the peir any feed back would be a help.

The pier at clevedon can be fished on a day ticket, i think its £3-5o a rod and the fishing can be good.

Dover sole to 3lb have been taken in the last week, and you always got a chance of conger, thornback ray, and odd bass.

The down side to the pier is its only open from 9am to 5pm for day tickets.

Do you fish piers often if you do i might have just the thing for you, have a look at this www.popnets.co.uk big grin big grin big grin

I fished the upper channel last night and only had one small conger on rag, but the sun was out and it was a cracking evening watching the sun go down. big grin big grin
