thanks everyone, I must ponder some more, i am swaying towards the RT one though, but could anyone tell me do they close completely, or is there a permanent gap/opening. tight lines and thanks for the help.

Yes - they close completely. They have two flaps on the front that unfold from the sides.

The Quantum one looks good also which is advertised in Sea Angler magazine this month. I think its 60 quid so a bit more than the RT.

My preference would be to buy a second hand John Holden shelter if you can - they look the same as the RT but are a lot more robust. They sometimes come up on auction sites.

be very weary about purcaseing an RT online, i am assured by one my tackle shops that they are now in the country (after 12months wait!) but are very limited, I tried getting one ealier in the year before i found out the chinese inpounded the inporters boat for failing to pay, then sold them else where and and paid for it with other bits and it took 3 days to inform me they where out of stock and 5 days to refund my credit card!!!
I belive this lot that have jsut arrived will be the last lot! One of my local shops is selling the john holden 2 at a very sensible price.
