Most fixed spool reels have a clip for the line that is dificult to located the line in due to the thickness of the shockleader if this is what you mean.

Its definatly the best fixed spool i've bought in the last few years, and it runs like a dream, even in sme pretty heavy situations |

It definately looks a lot better than the surfmaster 750 i bought, that lasted nearly 5 months of very minimal pier use. I would definately not recomend it to any 1.
Is the only diffrence between the Avosurf 8000 and the Avosurf 800 the amount of bearings?
Thanks

I wouldn't worry too much about the line clip on the side of the spool. Use a hair "bobble" or band - they work much better. The line can come unclipped very easily off a spool clip and the leader can jump off - this doesn't happen if you use a bobble.
Also, when using a line clip, the leader can still jump off the spool if there is insufficient tension on the line. |
