Hi All.
I'm new to this forum....almost new to sea fishing actually. I did a bit as a yoof....35 years ago. Bit of beachcasting & rocks, mainly in Rhossili during family holidays.
I am returning to Rhossili next weekend & have thought about taking my old equipment with me. Fiberglass beachcaster & intrepid (I think) multiplier.
It would be great if someone on these forums could give me a bit of advise.
Best times to fish, baits & where to buy from, tackle & set-up & anything else that you feel might be of interest.
Of course, if anyone is planning a trip to Rhossili next weekend...........

Cheers

Chris

Hi. welcome to the site.

I prefere fishing afternoon/evening until dusk or very early morning to dawn. Preferably with a rising tide. Worm baits work well there, i'd also try some shellfish. Mussels, razor, peeler etc.
You can try gower country stores, mainwarings,basstastic..spoilt for choice with bait suppliers.

Light tackle is nice to use down rhosilli off the beach. I've took my beachcaster there a few times and the fish have underwhelmed me a bit....but i've only had tiddlers off it. You could try your luck off the ledges where I like using heavier beachcaster gear. Very comfortable spot into clean sand and right under your nose there is a handful of rocks.

Good luck!
