went to a low tide mark this morning ,arrived 2hrs before low water,just right for wading across channel about waist high ,knee high to everybody else.saw a few fish splashing but with the wind doing a n/eastly was had work casting .left after a hour and treked to the sand bank.got there 10mins before low water wind was still a problem but had more water to cast at .saw some big gulls working hard so went to investigate.fish jumping and splashing about brilliant in amongst a schoal then phone rings ,other half phones to say how windy itis,as if i didnt know,leaving phone at home nxt time.fished rising tide over the sand bars hooked into a fish fair size i thought then nothing .came back with 1 largest scale.carried on using same tactics ,half hour later into another one only to throw the hook .mullet all around but none landed .not bad day except for the wind .tightlines mick |
