Hey, Im new to the site, thought id have a trawl through and see whats what! Im new to see fishing, not done it at all yet, off for my first outing this weekend
Done some course fishing over the past 3 years but am moving to the coast and might as well make the most of the sea before i start having to buy a license for that too!!  |

Hello and welcome to the site missangler, we have many new peeps to sea fishing this year look around you will prob find lots of usefull info for starting out, good luck with your weekend trip, please get back and post us a little report of how you got on :wink:

Thanks for the welcome, im geared up for my weekend, just a shame the tides are pap apparently.
And the avatar it courtesy of my family being United supporters and my partners being evertonians...my son is a hybrid half breed, manc/scouse, 8O lord help him lol.
Will be posting reports on cast and catch if i do catch lol, so will copy it here, if i blank then i will be in hiding for a while lol.

Welcome missangler. Good to see more of our better halves out fishing. Which coast are you moving to? If you can put up with the bad weather and conditions of sea fishing I'm sure you'll love it. |

Heysham, lived there before so no probs with the weather
Just been out on the canal...reminds me to practice casting,...i can only cast like 20 yards...all ive ever had to :oops: :oops:
And my 'worse half' lol. hates fishing so someones gotta catch tea  |

Don't worry about your casting missangler. If you are fishing off a pier a 20 yard cast will do. It's a myth that you have to have a long cast to catch the fish. A lot of fish feed off the wildlife and rubbish that collects next to a pier or jetty. If it's a wooden jetts with legs they may even be under your feet. Happy fishing. |

MISSANGLER,Darrens (MOG) right,you dont have to cast far from a pier,10 ft out will still get you fish,the more you fish the more you cast,the more you cast the further you will cast |
