New member, been away from fishing for about 15 years started to get back into it fishing from north berwick down to dunbar catching pollock mackeral,flounder using lug and mackeral strips just wondering why am not catching any codling or cod am i fishing wrong bait or wrong areas or is it better later in the year . cheers |

Cod and codling are rare so far this year, only the boat lads seem to be finding them and still not in great numbers . Give it another month and it should be better.
At least there are some over on the east coast, over here on the west they are almost nonexistant and have been so for over 12 months. They,ll soon be myths. |

half decent codling have been appearing in the Tay estuary last few weeks, so hopefully this is a good sign of what`s to come after a disappointing year last year. |
