I went fishing yesterday at first to Holmton then to Hessel foreshore. I only managed 1 cast at Holmton though because the tide was pulling through so fast my lead was out on the beach after 2 mins! We decided to cut our losses and stopped at Hessel forshore on the way home. We only fished it for 2 hours up to high tide before it got dark (forgot my head lamp, Doh!) but we all caught lots of flounders. Some good sized ones too. I tried lots of different bait combos but the classic lug tipped with squid worked the best. The best bit though was my mates young lad catching his first fish. A flounder about 1.5lb!
