Went to Whitby at the weekend and stopped in my grans holiday caravan which i go to every weekend, about a mile from Sandsend. Fished Sandsend beach just below were the first steps are from 5:00 while 8:00 in the afternoon, just over high tide which is around 7:00. Caught too decent Flounders and one under size Plaice which i put back. Only one other person fishing and i saw him catch a couple of flatties too. The wind was quite strong too so i was only casting 40-50 yards out. Bites all through the three hours i was there and all in all a good three hours fishing!
