Like I've said before, I can see the thames but being in central London, fishing it is a bit awkward! Not only that, but have you ever tried to get a rod onto a motorbike and still be in one piece at the end of a ride through London traffic??!!!! 8O Funny thing is, they won't allow any package over 2 metres long on the tubes either. |

Just had a quick look at your website petersclan. I reckon you'll have a nice little site there when you're done. |

I've got a six piece Fox beachcaster. It's a brilliant bit of kit, I can pendulum cast 150 grams of lead on it and it comes down to about 20 inches when you take it apart. All this for £69.99, how do they do it? Thinking about it , it would make an excellent beginners rod at that price and you would be able to progress a long way with it.

I keep looking at the travel rods and umming and erring about whether they'd be a good investment. On the up side, I suppose that I could keep one handy for the odd impulse trip!! |

You could always ask Santa for one. The only two things I don't like about the Fox rod are the duplon grips are a bit fat and it's a little bit heavy, but for the money, who's complaining? Two people I know have bought these rods on my recommendation and they have been just as pleased as me. It shows bites nicely too .

After seeing the kids wish list, I'm figuring on splitting Christmas this year!
I'll stick one on my list-you never know your luck do you? The three stages of a mans life:
Believing in Santa
Not believing in Santa
Being Santa!!  |

We took our kids to Lapland 3 years ago to see the "Real Santa". It was alot of money for 4 days away, but it was something we will remember forever. It went down to -15 degrees C, but we never felt cold. It was also the cleanest place we've ever been to.

Mum did the same for my brothers family and us. December 20th -31 and the kids could only stay out in it for about 15 minutes. It was the coldest they'd had in years apparantly. On the way back, the plane caught fire on the ground, the stewardess opened the door while it was still on auto and did 50 grands worth of damage to the seals. We ended up in a hotel overnight. Lovely people-cleaners came back in to get rooms ready at 11 at night and the kitchen staff came back in to cook us a meal. All in all, it actually made the trip worth the money. The biggest confusion was Santa having a Hull accent!! 8O |
